Europe’s supply of CRMs adressed in the NZZ

A recent article in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) has examined the importance of the Critical Raw Materials Act in Europe’s journey towards greater independence in the supply of raw materials. Among others, the article cited Alessandra Hool, the managing director of the ESM Foundation.

The article also discussed a possible resurgence of the mining industry in Europe as part of the continent’s mission to achieve greater self-sufficiency. Additionally, it analyzed Switzerland’s specific role in this context, highlighting the country’s potential sources of raw materials such as those in the Upper Rhine Graben for lithium and the necessity of developing national strategies to secure critical materials for the renewable energy sector.
