A new joint press release is available about the workshop on „Strategic Raw Materials and Sustainable Development” held at the World Resources Forum 2017 and organized by ESM Foundation, EIT Raw Materials and UNECE.

Another TecDay, organised by our partner SATW, was successfully held in Aarau, Switzerland. This project aims to bring students together with experts to get them interested in a potential future career in science.

The next IRTC Roundtable will take place in June 2018 in Vancouver, Canada. The topic will be about how methodology determines what is critical. IRTC is a project which aims to advance criticality assessment on a global level and is supported by EIT, a body of the European Union.

On October 26, the SusCritMat consortium met to discuss the project, the upcoming winter school and the activities of the next months. The meeting took place as a back-to-back event of the World Resources Forum in Geneva.

On October 19, SATW organised a TecDay at Gymnasium Lebermatt in Bern, Switzerland. Students could get in touch with applied sciences and maths via modules about interesting topics in the field. The TecDay thus provides a good opportunity to not just make students ponder on a potential future career in the field, but also to raise awareness about a topic that will concern them (regardless of their future profession) as consumers and citizens. More TecDays will take place at other Gymnasia.
